Our Story – The Story Behind Solmae
I'm Sofia, a photographer from Berlin, and I’ve been passionately working in photography for over 8 years. During this time, I continuously searched for a camera bag that was not only practical but also elegant – something that matched my style, whether for events, travel, or shoots. But I never found the perfect bag.
That’s when I decided to create Solmae – my own heartfelt project. Two high-quality, stylish camera backpacks that combine protection and design. The development process began with numerous sketches, where I carefully thought through every detail. I wanted to create a bag that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with a minimalist and timeless design.
After the initial sketches, I had sample pieces made to test the design and material choices. The selection of vegan leather was particularly important to me, as it has aesthetic appeal, is easy to maintain, and is durable. After carefully reviewing a wide range of swatches, the colors were ultimately finalized: a classic brown tone and timeless black – both versatile and elegant.
Solmae is the result of this intensive process – for those who, like me, love functionality but don't want to compromise on style. These backpacks not only offer space for your gear but also serve as a stylish companion for everyday life, created with love and care.
